The Spanish name Del Sur comes from a Spanish phrase, which means “of the south”. Eight beautiful neighborhoods form the community of Del Sur and provide a wonderful family living atmosphere with its beautiful landscaping and variations in the architecture.
Schools
One of the many reasons that people want to raise their families in Del Sur is because of the impressive schools that are here. Del Sur Elementary School accommodates K to 5, while Del Sur High School handles 9 to 12. Both of these schools are within the community itself and have been rated as #1 rated schools. For grades 6 to 8 students can attend Oak Valley Middle School which has a top rating. This school is situated 3 miles east of Del Sur. All of these schools come under the very highly rated Poway Unified School District.

This community is nestled in the hills overlooking Rancho Santa Fe, and being so close to this also fantastic living community the residents get to enjoy all of the amenities that it has to offer. Plus, Del Sur has easy access to I-15, and Hwy 56 as well as the I-5 freeway, so a super shopping excursion to San Diego is quick and easy.
